Get Stolen Identity Coverage

We've partnered with Fraud Prevention Partners of America (FPPA)
to bring you the only identity protection you'll ever need.

Why You Need It

So... you think your identity is safe.

  • You're careful about how you use your credit and debit cards.
  • You release personal and confidential information only when necessary.
  • You monitor your 3 major credit bureau reports regularly.

...but you're still not fully protected from the damage that identity theft can cause.

Imagine, this week you discover that you owe thousands of dollars on a credit card you don't even carry.  Or, you wake up to find the police at your door, with a warrant for your spouse's arrest.  Or, you receive a certified notice from a lawyer, threatening a lawsuit unless you pay for a purchase you never made.

Of course, you're innocent.  But it isn't enough.

Until you can prove that your identity has been used illegally, your life could become a nightmare.  Chances are, you won't be able to handle this situation on your own – without professional legal help.   You could become a victim all over again – when you’ll be forced to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars of your own money trying to fix the mess.  You could also spend months or even years of your time trying to clear your good name.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Credit monitoring is NOT the same thing as Stolen Identity Coverage.  Most monitoring services will NOT protect you in the aftermath.
  • Victims of identity theft face complex, overlapping legal, financial, emotional and work-life issues.
  • More than one out of every 10 Americans has become the victim of ID theft in the past 5 years.
  • The average direct cost (in goods, services, and/or cash falsely obtained) of identity theft is over $10,000 per consumer.
  • Consumers spend an average of $1,200 and 50 to 200 hours attempting to resolve issues surrounding ID theft.
  • Annually, ID theft costs consumers over $5 billion.

How it Works

Help! My Identity Has Been Used Illegally...What Do I Do Now?

When you are enrolled in Stolen Identity Coverage and you discover that your name or personal information has been used without your permission – there’s just one thing you’ll need to do… call us at our convenient, toll-free number.

Here’s what will happen:

STAGE ONE: INITIAL CONTACT AND FIRST RESPONSE

  • When you call, you’ll be connected with an experienced attorney who specializes in identity restoration.
  • The attorney will then open a case file, assessing and documenting your case specifics. There is NO ADDITIONAL COST for this professional service.
  • Once the attorney confirms with you that ID theft has occurred (during the initial call and/or during follow-up calls, as necessary), he or she will either assist you with or conduct on your behalf the following at NO ADDITIONAL COST:
    • Reporting the crime to all credit reporting agencies
    • Completing the Federal Trade Commission’s Identity Theft Affidavit
    • Obtaining credit reports from Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union (with your permission)
    • Establishing fraud alerts with each credit reporting agency
    • Reviewing your credit reports in order to:
      • Identify further signs of criminal activity
      • Report these criminal acts to the appropriate authorities, including:
        • Local authorities, such as
          • Local/State law enforcement
          • The local postal inspector
          • The local passport office
          • Banks where you have existing accounts
          • The Department of Motor Vehicles
        • National organizations, such as:
          • The Social Security Administration
          • Check verification organizations
    • Conducting the necessary follow-ups to help ensure that your personal information is correct.

STAGE TWO: POST-IDENTITY THEFT MONITORING AND PREVENTION

  • Once the immediate first steps have been taken by the attorney, and your identity theft issues are resolved, he or she will continue to assist you in preventing further damage to your good name.  Again, there is NO ADDITIONAL COST for this professional service.
  • The Stolen Identity Coverage staff will arrange follow-up calls between you and the attorney to enable further, individual support as needed. This may include:
    • Explaining to you exactly what has happened at each step of the restoration process
    • Discussing the successes made and actions taken on your behalf
    • Suggesting or recommending necessary next steps
    • Continual review of your credit reports
